Green Bay Packers opt for Mecole Hardman on final roster cut

Hardman, who signed a one-year contract worth $1.5 million with the Green Bay Packers in March, found himself in hot water once again when his release from the team was announced. The move will cost the Packers $150,000 in dead money, offset somewhat by the $150,000 in guaranteed money that was part of Hardman's contract.
Through 80 games, Hardman has amassed 2,302 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns. Before joining the Packers, he spent three seasons with the Chiefs, where he made a significant impact on the team's offensive strategy.
